Reading With the People of God - #5 We Believe.

DAY 15 OF 30

Memorization Challenge of the Month:

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Reading the People of God Primer:

As you prepare to read today’s passages, focus on the theme of God's unwavering faithfulness. Throughout Scripture, we see a consistent portrayal of God's steadfast love and commitment to His people. From His enduring promises and protection to His profound love demonstrated through Jesus Christ, God’s faithfulness remains a constant source of assurance and strength. As the song goes...

Cause all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

Reflect on how this divine faithfulness is evident in your own life. Consider the times you’ve experienced His protection, felt His unwavering support, or seen His promises fulfilled. Let this understanding deepen your trust and reliance on Him. Embrace the readings with a heart open to recognizing and appreciating the depth of God’s faithful love, knowing that His commitment to you is as steadfast as ever.

About this Plan

Reading With the People of God - #5 We Believe.

This is the fifth part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, each day this month will feature a memorization challenge for the Apostles' Creed, and there will be brief devotionals from different people in our Church scattered throughout the plan.
