Have you ever felt like you haven’t changed? Like no matter what changes happen around you in your life, you still somehow stay the same? Be encouraged that if you choose to follow Jesus, you are never the same as you used to be. You’re a new creation! That means the person you used to be has changed into someone new—someone more like the person God made you to be! Of course, becoming new isn’t a one-time event. It’s an ongoing process. Every new experience, every challenge, and every change is a chance to let God shape you into a new creation. Whether it's a new school, a new friend group, or a new life change, try to see each new thing in your life as an invitation to grow and become more like God.

Work on memorizing this verse this week to remind you of just that! Challenge your Small Group to memorize it with you and come up with a prize for the person who does it first. As you do, talk about what the verse means to you and how you can encourage each other to remember God is always making you new!
