PARTY LIKE JESUS

The Church is made up of diverse individuals who come together in holy unity. And Jesus calls the Church His bride. God is in love with His Church, no matter what others might say. You and I are God’s beloved! Uniquely and corporately, we are loved.

And God is planning a big celebration party for His bride.

God gives us good food as a reflection of His heart of goodness and His Kingdom. Jesus used food to bless others so they might come near to Him. Is food bringing you closer to God, or is it allowing you to keep a comfortable barrier between you and Him? Is your main mission to share God’s love with others? Or is maintaining your waistline or filling your belly what drives you day after day?

What we all really hunger for is relationship, first with God and then with other people. We are all starving for the ultimate wedding feast – a celebration of lifelong committed love, not fast takeout from the drive-through.

I am so grateful that you said yes to this journey of health and wholeness in Christ. I hope you have found freedom, knowing God is interested in bringing light and life to every part of you – from the thoughts in your mind to the emotions of your heart, to the muscles in your legs, to your relationships with others.

Now that you are free, we invite you to stay free and set others free! But above all else, remember that God’s love never quits. Knowing we are loved by God enables us to live wholeheartedly and with integrity, just as we are, without waiting for some better version of ourselves to show up. You are whole and upright under the banner of His love!

Press on in the joy and strength of the Lord!

Lord Jesus,

I know that this does not end here. I am on a journey toward the heart of the Father, and I will not quit until I have taken hold of the promises You have for me in this life. Help me stay under Your umbrella of love, grace, mercy, peace, and protection. I give myself to You – all of me for You. Lord, I give You all of my heart, all of my mind, all of my soul, and all of my strength, and I ask that You make every part of me holy and whole.

I confess my fear and my unbelief. Please help me remove these thoughts and feelings from my heart. I am Your vessel for You to pour Yourself into. Only You will satisfy. I no longer want to be hungry for anything that will not nourish me. Only You will nourish me. I am Yours. Please take me to the good land.
