What Jesus Said About Himself as the Son of GodНамуна
We can have a personal relationship with Jesus
He is our Deliverer (Romans 11:26). He is a Friend that stays closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24; John 15:15). He is God my Saviour (Luke 1:47). He is Immanuel - God with us (Matthew 1:23). Our Maker (Isaiah 17:7). Thomas replied, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28). My Salvation (Psalm 38:22). Shadow of a Great Rock in a Weary Land (Isaiah 32:2). I am your shield, your very great reward. (Genesis 15:1).
Who is Jesus for you? Jesus is not a doctrine. He is a Person. He is God. He is the Son of God. He made us. In Him, we and the whole universe hold together. In Him, we live and move and have our being.
For us as humans, it all starts with a personal relationship with Jesus. Jesus is not a set of dogmatic beliefs and extensive knowledge about the Trinity. Jesus is not a set of rules and guidelines for life. He came to give Himself. Christianity is about a Person: Jesus. Christians are followers of Jesus.
Is He personal to you? Do you know Him personally? Many say they believe in Jesus. Even the demons believe God is one – and they shudder! (James 2:19). There is, however, a difference between believing in Jesus and believing in Jesus, knowing Him, walking with Him daily, and obeying Him. He wants to live in us. Is Jesus your infinite treasure?
