A Supernaturally Natural Life Намуна
WHEN I HEARD THAT HEARTBEAT
I love to travel! Wherever it may be in this world, I will gladly pack my bags and be off. Over the years I have made several trips to the beautiful country of Peru. I was invited recently to speak at a Youth Camp a little far off from the city of Lima. During one of the sessions, the Holy Spirit began to move in a powerful way; kids were weeping, some were lying down on their faces at the altar screaming out to God, some were hugging each other tight praying and asking God to use them.
As this was going on, I saw a kid who looked tough on the outside - he had his earring on, tattoos on his hands, and his clothes were loose. He had his hands lifted and with his eyes tightly shut, he was crying. Tears rolled down both his cheeks. The Holy Spirit told me to go lay my hands on him and pray with him.
HERE IS THE MOMENT- as I placed my hand upon his heart, it was almost like I went deaf to the surroundings. I started to hear his heartbeat, loud as ever, and then I heard this boy screaming these words “I LOVE YOU JESUS…Please forgive me for my sinful lifestyle…I surrender everything to you…I want you to use me… from now everything is yours, please don’t leave me!”
I literally had heard everything he cried out to God. Immediately, I signaled over to one of the translators and I told him to tell this boy all that I had just experienced. As he told him, this boy began to weep uncontrollably, and he said “that was the prayer from my heart- I was asking God, and I never knew he understood me until now.” Honest to God, we all wept together and thanked God for what He had done that very moment.
Isn’t it wonderful to know that God understands our struggles better than anyone else? Just this one fact should draw us closer to Him. No matter what He knows about you, He has sympathy over you, and wants to help you overcome, however bad the situation may seem to be.
Application: Write down the struggles that you are facing. Now, talk to the Lord about each one, and then write a scripture verse next to it. The next time this struggle comes back up, confess the scripture you have written next to it. That will move you from fear to faith and from doubt to confidence!
Quote: “Before you sleep, remember that it’s ok to not be ok. We all have struggles. God loves you for who you are, but too much to leave you that way” – Home Run The Movie
BE TOUCHED WITH THE FEELING in Greek (STRONGS LEXICON G4834): SYMPATHEO which means “to be affected with the same feeling as another” “to sympathise with” “to feel for” “have compassion on”.
