DAY 25 OF 30

Satan Judged

After the Millennium, when Jesus reigns the earth with Christians as His helpers, Satan will be released for the purpose of deception. Think of the irony! After a thousand years of peaceful living, there will still be people who don’t want Jesus and will be deceived into following their own passions. David Pawson says that they will be the ones with deep rebellion in their hearts who don’t want to follow the proven, life-giving ways of Jesus.

Scripture says that Satan will use Gog and Magog (the final major enemies of Israel mentioned in Ezekiel and many other Jewish texts) to gather an army for battle. Interestingly, this army will gather at the foot of the mountain of Megiddo (in Hebrew, Har-mageddon), the crossroads of the world, overlooked by Nazareth. Do you recognize any foreshadowing? As this vast army travels to destroy Jerusalem, fire comes down from heaven and destroys them. It sounds like an epic movie! When that army is destroyed, Satan, the last of the four enemies of God’s people, will be thrown into the lake of burning sulfur where the antichrist and the false prophet have already been thrown. Those deceivers will get tormented 24/7, forever. That’s justice, my friends.

It may be hard to imagine God vindicating His people in these powerful ways, but at that point, enough will be enough. No one messes with God’s people and gets away with it. God’s mission has always been to bring His family back together, and when Satan gets eliminated, we will be joyous because we will no longer be tempted to sin. What a relief that will be! The family dinner that takes place after Satan gets destroyed is unfathomable. We have things to look forward to!

Question: God is for you. Do you believe that?

Prayer: Ask God to show you His desires for you. Ask Him to show you how you fit into His family and rejoice that He will ensure your vindication in the end!
