7:24-25 ROCK or SAND

How many times have we gone out on the floor without doing a solid pre-game? How often have we taken for granted the unusual situations that could occur in a game? Why would we go out onto the floor unprepared? Are we not then building our rock “on the sand”, the shaky foundation?

Without excellent rule knowledge, we will not be able to go out and call plays accurately. That requires annual study of the rules & video breakdown. Teams get 30+ practices before opening day. We need to spend time in our rule books each & every year to refresh and solidify our foundation to go each night and get plays right. It is no different in our spiritual journey and relationship with Jesus. God’s Word is a lamp for our feet and a light for our path.
