Esther, Born for Such a Time as ThisНамуна
Why Esther chose to say nothing to the king at the first meal and then to do so at the second meal is not mentioned. Apparently, she sensed that this was the right time to speak up for her people. She was waiting for God to direct her to the right moment.
Haman, however, gets acquainted with the proverb: "He that mischief hatches, mischief catches." He found himself facing the very death that he had planned for someone else.
Sometimes it is hard to know the right moment to take action. God knows. If we choose to stay close to God, He will reveal the right time to take a step forward. Esther showed us that waiting for God works, because when the moment came for her to speak up, the king became furious with Haman, and the result was freedom for herself and eventually for her people.
Do you have the courage to wait for God’s timing? Especially when it doesn’t always go as you wanted or had planned it?
Prayer: Dear God, sometimes it is very hard to wait. I often want something to happen quickly. Help me to be like Esther and to stay close to You so that I will know and feel when it is Your perfect time—so that You will do what You have in mind.

About this Plan
In this plan, we will take you through the book of Esther. We can admire Esther's courage, but we should see the whole picture: Esther, too, needed to be reminded of Who rules and that her life is in His hand. We pray that Esther's story inspires you to see God's hand in your life. God has intentionally placed you where you are for such a time as this.
