Esther, Born for Such a Time as ThisНамуна
It can be so difficult to choose the right moment to speak or to find the right words to say! Esther faced a tough, dangerous dilemma in this portion of Scripture. She had to approach King Ahasuerus and ask him for a favor to try and save her people; but that means she had to go to him without being summoned. If he rejected her, she would be put to death. She needed courage, diplomacy, and the ability to judge the situation she found herself in. At first, she sounded scared, unsure. But Mordecai encouraged her with the words: “And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Could those words have prompted Esther to act?
Sometimes, someone speaks just the right words at the exact moment that you need to hear them. And, even though you might not be aware of it, at times you are the one who is being used to encourage others, to get them thinking, or to motivate them. Because—who knows?—you could be meant for just this very time!
Prayer: Father, Your ways and plans are higher than I can fathom. You use words, people, and timing to fulfill Your plans. Help me to keep that in mind today in my conversations and interactions with others. Give me the courage and the right words to speak that will honor You. Please use me as Your instrument. Amen.

About this Plan
In this plan, we will take you through the book of Esther. We can admire Esther's courage, but we should see the whole picture: Esther, too, needed to be reminded of Who rules and that her life is in His hand. We pray that Esther's story inspires you to see God's hand in your life. God has intentionally placed you where you are for such a time as this.
