12 Encouraging Bible Verses

DAY 3 OF 5

Priceless peace. Peace can be hard to come by in this life. Ask the single mother juggling a work-life balance whose two-year-old bombards her with multiple questions in a row. Alternatively, consider the student subjected to peer pressure. Or a loud neighbor that prevents you from falling asleep. Our world is full of noise and disruption that can lead us away from the peace God wants for us. He is the only true source of perfect peace.

“The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3

Let’s focus on the promise found in this verse, “You will keep in perfect peace.” This peace Jesus offers is “perfect” or “without fault or defect, satisfying all the requirements,” as Webster describes it.

What do you think of when you hear the word perfect? The word “perfect” presents an image of flawlessness and precision in my mind. This reminds me of Phillippians 4:6: “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding.”

It’s the kind of peace that only Jesus can provide! He even stated that He leaves us with the peace that He has given us. He does not offer peace in the way that the world does, but in the way that He does! (reference John 14:27).

Let’s rest in Jesus’ perfect peace!

12 Encouraging Bible Verses

When you need encouragement, there is nothing better than to soak in God’s word. As we focus on His truth, the more assured we become that He is carrying us. Over these next five days, keep these verses where you can see them - on a post-it on your computer monitor or textbook - and consistently center your heart, mind, and emotions on them.
