God gives you comfort in your painful trial.
You give others comfort in their painful trial…
using the very same comfort that God gave you!

In 2013, at the exact time that I was recording my second album, I was also suffering from suicidal depression. The fellowship and comfort I received from the Lord during that recording were indescribable.  

In the morning I would pray and cling to God, hiding under His wings, and He would pour peace and comfort over my soul, assuring me of His love. Then, I would go to the studio, draped in His comfort, and record the album.

The top feedback I get about that album is that is comforting.

After all of these years, God still takes the comfort He gave me in 2013, infuses it into the music and my voice on the recording, and then shares that same comfort with every listener.  Supernatural!

I am not surprised.  That is just how God works!

So, the third beautiful reason for affliction is so we can comfort others with the very comfort that God gave us during our trial!
