Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith

DAY 38 OF 90

This place we are in currently—locked down, burdened, lonely, tired, worried, overwhelmed—is the only place where we can learn about God’s work, His will, His trustworthiness, and His presence. Right here and now is where God can teach us all these aspects of His character. When we feel like God is doing nothing, He is, in fact, working in ways unseen. When His will feels vague or frightening, He promises to give us His peace. When He isn’t doing what we want or expect Him to do, He is actually doing something better – giving us bread instead of the stone we asked for or perhaps doing exactly what we’ve prayed for but in a way that is incomprehensible to us. And when He seems most absent, even there His promise holds – He will never leave us nor forsake us. So today, when life seems like a scorching wilderness, remember He is caring for us, right here, right now.

Pray:

• For a divine perspective to see God’s hand in all we are experiencing.

• That our hearts and minds will be guarded by the peace of God which passes all understanding.

• That we will experience God’s care today.
