Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith

DAY 37 OF 90

When we feel troubled and overwhelmed let us remember that we are in good company. Even Jesus felt the same. Even He asked His Father to remove the huge problem in front of Him. Sometimes we may feel like our prayers are like a broken record – Lord, remove this difficulty, or this troublesome person. But they don’t budge an inch. Perhaps today our Heavenly Father is asking us to look at those problems from His perspective – that we are here, at this moment, facing those “goliaths”, for this very reason – we are here for such a time as this, to glorify His name. Does that make us feel better? Probably not. But when we see what Jesus did, humbling Himself to face what lay ahead of Him, He did bring everlasting glory to the Father through the cross. So let us take heart as well. And ultimately may our Lord be glorified in our lives.

Pray that:

• The Church will be strengthened to face trials and difficulties.

• Our perspective will shift from the problem to God’s ultimate glory.

• We will know and understand that we are here for such a time as this.
