The Beginning and The End
Isaiah 44:6b
The Lord says, I am the beginning and the end. I am the only God.
'God is the beginning' means there is never a time or space when God does not exist. There was no time and space of ‘before Him’. God had already existed before time, the world, heaven, and man were created. For billions and trillions of unending years, God has already existed and does not need a beginning.
God is eternal and permanent. This is one of God's attributes. He does not change. His nature is from everlasting to everlasting. One day, the world we are living in will come to an end but He lives forever. He is the End, with His second coming, and will make all things new.
God is found in the first verse of Genesis and in the last verse of Revelation. God is the beginning and the end. He is Alpha and Omega.
In other words, He always is God and He always will be God. Even heaven and earth will not last, but God’s power and authority will never end.
Prayer
Dear God, I praise and thank You for the faithfulness You showed to Your people. I know that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen.
