Feed Your FaithНамуна
I do good things to grow my faith in Jesus!
Abraham did a good thing to show he had faith in God: Abraham obeyed God.
It wasn’t the first time Abraham obeyed God. But this time, obeying was extra hard. Abraham had to give his son, Isaac, back to God. Abraham had waited years, and years, and years for Isaac to be born, and he loved Isaac a lot. But even though he was confused, Abraham trusted God and had faith. He obeyed God and was ready to give up his son.
The whole thing was a test. God wanted Abraham to show his faith, and Abraham showed it. Now, the Bible uses Abraham’s faith as an example for all of us to follow.
Be like Abraham. Look for chances to do good things, and do them even if the good things are hard to do. The good things will feed your faith, and you’ll be an example of faith so others can believe in Jesus, too.
Talk It Over: How do you think obeying God helped Abraham’s faith to grow? What good things do you need to do to help your faith in God grow?
