When we trust in Jesus, we will not only have His peace on earth, but we’ll have it forever in eternity. This fact is something that we can look forward to, especially on days when it’s hard to be joyful. Jesus told some of His followers that the wait here on earth is like a woman getting ready to have a baby- the process of having a baby is super painful! But if you ask any mom, she will say that all of the pain was worth it when she got to meet her child. In the same way, even though our time on earth can be painful at times, but if we trust Jesus, we have all of eternity to look forward to, which will be filled with being with Jesus all the time and experiencing His joy forever and ever.

Challenge: Spend some time today thanking God for the salvation and grace that He offers. Thank Him for the joy that He has given you and the hope that you have to look forward to in eternity! If you have never accepted God’s gift of salvation, spend time today thinking about what is stopping you from accepting it. Talk to a trusted leader, friend, or family member if you have questions, and spend time talking to God and telling Him what’s holding you back. Ask him to give you the courage to step forward in faith and trust today.
