This is the story of the Lost Son.  In my bible I have Proverbs 22:6 written right next to it.  Go ahead and check it out now before you keep reading. 

It says, "Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it."  

So, when I was reading Luke and saw this verse in Proverbs, it made me stop in my tracks and take a look at how am I raising my girls to be Proverbs 31 wives some day?  How am I teaching them to pursue Jesus each day?  Am I loving them the way Jesus does?  

I want to challenge you right now to take a look at your lives, and regardless of where you are, ask yourself, “what am I doing to the people around me to draw them closer to Jesus?”  When things in life go bad, are they trained to turn towards Jesus and not the things of this world?
