Illuminate

DAY 30 OF 38

Jesus taught the disciples about being a good steward of money. I have always been encouraged when God spoke these verses into my life. All the money belongs to God, it will never be ours. When God created everything, it was intended to be used to glorify all that He is and does. In these verses, Jesus refers to this type of management as being rich. I think one of our takeaways from these verses is to be very wise with the resources that God has entrusted us with. If God blesses us with much (an abundance), then we must remember to use it to enhance the Kingdom, to glorify all that Jesus is, and all He has done to save us. We all have to be careful not to use money for evil, but to use it for good. I can speak from my own life experiences where I’ve made some poor financial decisions; spending and not being a good manager of what God has given to me. As my relationship with God continues to grow, I believe the easier it is to be a better manager of my resources.

Are you able to completely see all that God has entrusted you with to glorify Jesus’ love for you?  Have you ever thought about all your resources being from God?

Illuminate

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness again, but will have the light of life.” In this daily Bible reading plan, Illuminate, we study the teachings of Jesus found in the Gospel of Luke chapters 12-17. In these passages of Scripture, Jesus sheds light on the kingdom of God and guides us to live our lives in light of eternity.
