Now What?

OK. So you get it. You understand that your only true source of security is found in Jesus. That life is not about the stuff of the here and now. You know you’re a part of an epic spiritual struggle for the hearts of men and women.

You also get that God has placed you into this struggle with resources to invest in His kingdom work – to see His kingdom advanced. And that your heart will follow after whatever you do with what He has put into your trust.

So now what? How do you begin to step into the new way of thinking?

Well, it starts with your perspective, which is summed up in one of the most important passages of Scripture, Galatians 2:20. It reads:

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

You are dead. Your former life that was bound to the stuff of this earth is gone. And it was that life which was crucified with Christ. Now, Christ Himself, through the Holy Spirit, lives in you.

This is the central truth of the New Covenant: that God Himself would live in us (see Colossians 1:26-27). And now, His passion is to live His life through you.

God has an abundant life planned for you, but you need to embrace the truth that Christ is in you and wants to live His life through you. If you do, you release Him to put into play the plan He has designed for you and don’t allow the pursuit of money keep you from that.

Now, stop reading and step into that life. By faith, abandon everything you have to Him. And trust Him to live through you to unfold day by day His plan for you – an abundant, fruitful life that is marked by blessing others as you are blessed!
