Welcome the Wilderness Намуна
Our God, the Provider
It’s in the desert, the great wilderness, that God reveals himself.
In the wilderness, we are hungry; we are thirsting for something that will get us through the dry season, unable to find anything to satisfy us.
When we are at the end of ourselves, wondering when we will finally find rest or arrive at a season of salvation from our wilderness, and we are grumbling to God about how he hasn’t shown up for us—God reveals himself.
It’s in the wilderness that God reveals himself as the Great Provider, meeting all of our needs, even when it should be impossible. He takes care of us when we can’t manage to take care of ourselves. He provides when there is nothing we can do to provide for ourselves.
When God provided manna for the Israelites in the wilderness, he met their needs every day, one day at a time for forty years until he delivered them to the Promised Land.
If you’re in the wilderness right now, take heart. God is going to provide something that will enable you to sustain your spirit for years to come.
