A college professor calculated the probability of eight Old Testament prophecies concerning Jesus being fulfilled in any one person living down to the present time.
The probability was a staggering one in ten to the seventeenth power. That is one in ten followed by seventeen zeros … incredibly long odds. Cover the state of Texas with silver dollars to a depth of two feet marking one silver dollar with a red dot turned face down. Then send a blindfolded stranger to walk across the state and randomly pick up just one silver dollar. If he happened to pick up the marked silver dollar he would have beaten the odds that Jesus met when he fulfilled eight Old Testament prophecies.

Of course, there are more than eight prophecies concerning Messiah, and Jesus fulfilled them all. Subsequent calculations based on forty-eight Old Testament prophecies revealed odds of one in ten to the one hundred fifty-seventh power!

People often say of a unique man, “He’s one-in-a-million.” When you’re talking about Jesus, “one-in-a-million” doesn’t even come close!
