Open In Case Of Emergency

DAY 10 OF 14

Planted in God

We’ve all seen trees drop their leaves and go dormant during the winter, but in the desert of Israel, there are trees that can survive decades of intense heat and drought. On the surface, these trees may look dry and lifeless, but they have a deep root system that sustains them during the hardest of times. And even during times of extreme and persistent drought, these trees are still able to provide shade for people, wood for fire, and in some cases, even fruit for food. God has specifically designed these trees to survive during the most difficult of times.

This is the image the prophet Jeremiah used when he wrote: “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.”

Are you going through a tough time? Are you in the middle of a drought today? This is the time when God wants you to develop deep-rooted trust and confidence in Him - not just so you can survive your own circumstance, but also so those around you are blessed by your faith.
