We Have a Part in This

If you hunger and thirst for the fullness of Christ, Satan will declare outright war on you. When he sees evidence that your commitment is real—your diligence in prayer, your denial of self—he will use every weapon in hell to try to destroy your testimony. Why? Because your testimony is God’s answer to apostasy and ruin!

Being separate from this world is the greatest witness in this world today.

It may not fit into your theology, but our blessed Lord has himself established an altar in Satan’s territory. No sinner or no backslider has far to go to get back to God. He can kneel at a bar. He can reach out in the midst of drugs, prostitution, and ungodliness and discover the Spirit of God. 

God’s Word is crucial; it is our daily sustenance. It is impossible to bear the fruit of righteousness without his Word abiding in you. Neglect of the Word is causing barrenness and bringing a terrible withering to God’s people.

Our part in resisting temptation is to simply believe God can sanctify our will and put in us an overpowering desire to resist the devil’s invitation.

Our God never gives up on us. He is ever in pursuit. He never wearies, never slumbers or sleeps. He keeps on our trail.

God has everything under control, and his people have nothing to fear.
