Don't Miss the Moment: A 5 Day Guide to Embracing God's PlanНамуна
What are you doing right now to prepare for a moment that is coming your way? How are you training yourself to better recognize the voice of God? What books are you reading . . . ? What podcasts are you listening to? And, perhaps most importantly, how are you working on your character and your integrity—how are you becoming a better person? You see, if you aren’t looking in the mirror on a daily basis and asking God, “Show me how I can improve the real me,” I’m afraid you may miss the point of seizing a moment altogether.
Sadly, I see so many people reach and step and claw their way over others in hot pursuit of their next moment. And you know what? Sometimes they get there. But getting there and staying there are two totally different things. What good is it to get to where you’ve always wanted to be but to turn around and see a trail of broken relationships and broken people you’ve shattered on your way to your moment? Preparation has so much more to do with how you progress. Become a better person first, and watch God send wave after wave of moments. . . .
I hope you will never miss that you have been called as a manager of moments. That God entrusts these beautiful experiences to you, and that not missing them is sometimes just the beginning. How you care for, nurture, grow, and at times make new moments happen for others matters so much. How do you take care of the things God has given you? Are opportunities that were once miracles to you now disregarded because you’ve gone on to bigger and better things? The management of the little, the small, the seemingly insignificant matters to God. It sets us up for God to surprise us with moments we could have never seen coming. Stay faithful, stay diligent, and treat each moment and season with care. How you manage today will be the qualifying factor for what you have the opportunity to manage tomorrow!
