Book of 2 Chronicles Намуна
RUN TO THE FINISH LINE
The success or failure of the Israelite's journey depended on who their leader was at the time. If their leader was united with God, then the grace of God was upon them and secured their journey.
King Asa was a king who lived his life right and worshiped God. During his reign, the state of Israel was triumphant and peaceful. As time went by, Asa's heart drifted from God and he began to rely on the Syrians as security for the nation of Israel instead of relying on God. In good or bad circumstances, we should rely only on God and not on others.
God never sleeps nor slumbers when He looks after us. When we walk with God, our future is in good hands. Whom we walk with and allow to lead us is crucial to our future.
The journey of the Israelites is a parallel of our spiritual journey.
The beginning of our journey is as important as the end. The Apostle Paul says to run well through the finish line, and this should become our confidence too. Do not be like Asa, who started well but ultimately ended in failure.
Whom we walk with and allow to lead us is crucial to our future.
