GOD’S CALLING
God gave His warnings to Pharaoh through the ten plagues, so that Pharaoh will let the Israelites go out of Egypt and worship The God of Israel. Pharaoh’s hardened heart reveals God’s power and glory. The more man hardens his heart towards God, the more God shows His power before man, until it reaches a point where man confesses that He is the powerful God who is worthy to be worshipped.
If we are believers, let’s keep our faith strong during our life journey. Do not let conditions around us pull us down and weaken our faith.
During the time when Pharaoh did not let the Israelites go out of Egypt to worship God, Moses cried out to God and called on the name of God, and waited upon God. When you are in situations where you do not know what to do, do not give up, no matter how hard the situation, or how hard the heart of a person in front of you. Do not pay attention to the hardened heart, but look to God who is able to fight for you. Wait upon God to show you the next step to take.
Let us learn from Pharaoh, that we should not harden our heart when God has chosen and called us. Do not harden our heart when God has commanded us to do something. It means that God wants to show us His glory. God wants to show His goodness to us when we follow His command. It is the same as how God stood for Moses—the same way God will stand for us who follow His call and command.
A call is a reaction of what God has planned in our life from the beginning of time.
