GO2020 | ENGAGE: January Week 1 - WORDНамуна

January—Word
Week One
Memory verse for January 12-18: 2 Timothy 3:16–17
January 16
Read
Psalm 19:7–11
Reflect
When we share God’s Word with others, do they sense our reverence and love — even our hunger — for it? Even before we begin to invite others to meet God in the Bible, we need to pray that we would value Scripture the way the psalmist does. Take a moment to pray through this passage, asking God that these truths about his Word would be felt in your own life.
Engage
Reread the Scripture passage. You’ve now read it two days in a row. Does anything stand out to you differently than it did yesterday? Consider the ENGAGE questions again. Don’t be afraid of the repetition. We learn more about God each time we read and reread his Word.
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Read this week’s memory verse, 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

GO2020 is about change. The world needs Jesus, but the problem is, the majority of Christians are not sharing their faith. How do we see that change? This week we will discover our need for the Word of God and the promise of its power in our lives.
