Week One

Memory verse for January 12-18: 2 Timothy 3:16–17

GO2020 is about change. The world needs Jesus, but the problem is, the majority of Christians are not sharing their faith. How do we see that change?

This week we will discover our need for the Word of God and the promise of its power in our lives. What is God’s Word and how should we respond to it? Each day we will use the principles of the Discovery Bible Method to carefully understand and savor God’s Word to us. Answering the questions will teach us not only to know the Word, but to live it. If we prayerfully give our time and attention to God’s Word, it will certainly change us. Practicing this type of Bible study will also equip us to lead others in discovering God through his Word.

Memorize

Read this week’s memory verse, 2 Timothy 3:16–17. You’ll be working on memorizing this verse this week. Today, simply read it and rest.
