Save the DateНамуна
Most of you have heard of the Golden Rule: Treat others the way that you want to be treated. But here, Paul says we shouldn’t just love others; we should honor them. Honoring someone means treating them with respect and dignity. In other words, it’s choosing to see them as God sees them—as a person made in His image. Everyone carries God’s image in them, which makes everyone deserving of honor.
That doesn’t mean it’s easy, but it does mean we have a responsibility to try. When we see people as God sees them, we are more likely to treat them as God treats them—with love, compassion and honor. Imagine what the world would look like if we all followed Paul’s instruction and truly tried to honor each other above ourselves!
This week, give it a shot! Who can you honor in your life? Be intentional about seeking them out and putting them ahead of yourself this week.
