Love God Greatly - Psalm 119Намуна

There may be times when it seems as if God has forgotten you. You may have been waiting for an answer, a reprieve, or an ending to a desperate circumstance. Prayer, God's Word, and the promises He has made to us remain His main source of comfort. He also sends people our way who will encourage and strengthen us, who will grieve with us, who will share our burden, and who will pray for us. God never wastes a hurt, a pain, or a tear. The pain that we experience will have an ending point. But in the meantime, even in the midst of sorrow, we can be a source of strength and encouragement to others.
What circumstance are you facing that is causing you to doubt God? Will you choose to trust God in all of your circumstances, even the painful ones?
Father God, I thank You that Your Truth is greater than my difficulties, struggles, and tribulations. I thank You for Your comfort, Your compassion, and Your love. I thank You for sending people in my life to comfort me. I thank You for patience with me when doubt creeps in, when fear has its way, and disbelief comes. Help me to remember that You are the God who can restore shattered dreams and renew a future with victory and joy. Remind me that in tragedy, suffering, and pain, You are most near and that You will never leave me, forsake me, or fail me. I thank You that I never have to bear my pain alone and that Your Son, Jesus, went bore it all before me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
About this Plan

Woven throughout this longest chapter of the Bible are beautiful character qualities of Scripture, reminding us that God’s Word is sufficient, truthful, pure, authoritative, and unchanging. But when we look to God himself – we see how his character is reflected in this chapter as well. This Bible study gives us a glimpse into the beauty, importance, and usefulness of Scripture, prompting us to walk away more in love with God and his Word, more aware of our sin, and more in awe of our great Savior and his sacrifice on our behalf.
