My Heart Has Been Restored

DAY 5 OF 7

The story of Jacob and his twin brother Esau is one full of betrayal, heartbreak, lies, and pain. It is also one of total restoration! Their story starts in Genesis 25:19 and continues all the way to the end of Genesis 33. I won’t get into all the details here, but let’s just say that Jacob had to flee from Esau’s wrath.

After Jacob fled, God blessed him with his own family, but not without a TREMENDOUS amount of his own personal experience on the RECEIVING end of betrayal and pain. In this situation, God allowed Jacob to get a taste of his own medicine. This whole experience was truly humbling to Jacob, and changed him for the better.

Sometimes God has to allow us to experience pain in order for us to realize that something isn’t right with us. In Jacob’s case, I’m sure his own personal suffering made him realize how badly he treated Esau.

Eventually, God led Jacob to return to his homeland, and the time to be reunited with his brother Esau drew near. Right before this awesome event, Jacob came to the place mentioned in today’s verse. As you can see, the angels of God were there to bless this AMAZING family reunion! When Jacob saw them, he exclaimed “This is the camp of God!” (Genesis 32:2)

No matter what you may be going through today, please know that God has a supernatural ARMY of angels ready to guide you, protect you, and bless you. God WANTS you to succeed in life, especially in the area of relationships. After all, God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to this earth because He wants a relationship with YOU! His heart’s desire is to redeem mankind to a right relationship with Him and everyone who shall ever live!

So, for today, pray for spiritual sight to see the angels in your life – to see God’s hand in every situation. God is ALWAYS here for you and will NEVER turn you away when you seek him. Let us all praise God for His ever-present help in times of need.

About this Plan

My Heart Has Been Restored

God has limitless power to restore ANYTHING that may seem broken, hopeless, or impossible to repair. Sometimes all we have to do is wait on His redemption as we pray through our situation – even when it hurts. Without God we have no power to redeem ANYTHING. God is THE source of redemption. This plan has been inspired by God's restoration of my relationship with my daughter.
