My Heart Has Been Restored

DAY 2 OF 7

As we take our journey through many aspects of redemption, we will be seeing a lot of new beginnings. As today’s verse states, one of His first acts was to create light and separate it from darkness. This specific act is EXTREMELY significant, and has a lot to do with restoration.

This is SO important because this process is still going on to this day. God is continually rooting out darkness from His creation, so that His light may shine brighter than the stars of the sky. Throughout your study of the Bible you can’t help but notice that God is referred to as light, and evil as darkness. When God calls us to a new life in Jesus, He is really calling us into His light to LIVE in that light! It is up to us to follow Jesus out of the darkness of our past sins, and into the light of a life lived in mercy, grace, obedience, and RESTORATION.

After God completed His initial creation of the Universe, we go on to witness the first marriage and unfortunately the first sin. At this point, the human race was “kidnapped” by Satan. After this, we see tragedy after tragedy – including the first murder. It wasn’t until after all this tragedy that we see hope in Genesis 4:26, where men began to call on the name of the Lord. From that point on, we see lots of suffering, but also countless tales of redemption whenever people start to call on the name of the Lord.

THAT is the TRUE beginning of your own personal restoration process. When you call on the name of the Lord something miraculous happens. He listens. He will create in you a light so bright that the darkness can’t help but flee. So, for today, cry out to God for salvation. Cry out to Him in thanksgiving. Cry out to Him for hope, for life, and for the restoration that only His light can bring. Cry out to Him and He WILL hear you. THAT is a guarantee!

About this Plan

My Heart Has Been Restored

God has limitless power to restore ANYTHING that may seem broken, hopeless, or impossible to repair. Sometimes all we have to do is wait on His redemption as we pray through our situation – even when it hurts. Without God we have no power to redeem ANYTHING. God is THE source of redemption. This plan has been inspired by God's restoration of my relationship with my daughter.
