6 Days Of Esther

DAY 5 OF 6

None of us likes things being done halfway. We want it to be a completed job, whether it’s work being done for us or things that we have to accomplish. Half way doesn’t work.

At first, Esther is frightened to go before the king with her concerns about Haman’s plot. She remembers what happened to Queen Vashti for angering the king. But she knew that if she did not take the big risk and go all in, she and all her people might end up dead. So, she swallowed her fear and arranged a banquet for the king and Haman. After feeding them and showing them hospitality, she found the courage to tell the king the truth, even though it might have cost her her own life.

Similarly, your date with destiny is going to be realized when you have gone all in to what God has called you to do. When you fight that good fight and you play like a football player who is going all in to win the game, you are showing God that you are serious about that destiny. You committed to being prepared, walked until you couldn’t walk any further, and practiced so hard that your jersey became drenched with the dew of sweat.

The point is, waiting on God to come through for you is not like waiting on a bus at the bus stop. You don’t sit idly by, watching the birds and whistling tunes. You stay busy. You commit to preparation. You stay deep in reading God’s Word. You stay on your knees in prayer, asking for His courage and wisdom. You stay connected to a community of believers who have your back. God wants you to end your calling in victory, which means you’ve got to be all in for what He has called you to be.
