God Of Wonders Family Devotional For Kids

DAY 4 OF 5

The Ten Plagues

Moses and his brother, Aaron, went to Egypt to fulfill the mission God had given them: deliver the Israelites from slavery. But as they would soon learn, Pharaoh would not be that easy to persuade.

Each time Moses and Aaron asked Pharaoh to let the Hebrews go, Pharaoh refused. Each time Pharaoh refused, God sent a devastating plague. Finally, God would send a plague so terrible that Pharaoh had no choice but to set God’s people free!

Before God delivered the Hebrews, He first dealt with the sin and idol worship of Egypt. The Bible teaches that God always does what is right, and He will always punish what is wrong. Which of the ten plagues do you find most scary and why? They all would be pretty bad! But with God, we have no reason to fear. He has set us free from all judgment and condemnation through Jesus.

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.”
