Jesus Revealed Pt. 5 - Reflecting the Glory of GodНамуна
Jesus Releases Life
Thoughts on the Passage
Jesus gives life.
John wrote this gospel of Jesus to help people know how to receive this life in Jesus. Today, John gives a little more understanding of the life that Jesus has to give to us.
Jesus releases life to people. He will release life from the dead – resurrection life – because God has granted Him the authority to do that. When Jesus calls forth life – all will hear and all will respond.
Jesus releases eternal reward to all people. Everyone will receive a reward based on their faith in Jesus. If they believe, they will have eternal life. If they chose to reject Jesus, they will face eternal judgment. God has made it that simple.
Finally we see something special here:
As Jesus saw the Father do things – He copied. [Healing one man at the pool].
As Jesus hears the Father speak about life and judgment – He speaks it.
It is not His own words, His own interpretation, or His own standard – it is the Father’s.
This is truly God’s Son.
Application
How will we respond today as children of God? Will we see what God does – and release His heart to our world?
Will we hear the words of the Father – and release them to our world? It will release life to those who believe in Jesus. It will also bring judgment to those who reject – because God will hold all accountable.
So listen. Watch carefully today. Then do what the Father does. Speak the words of our Father to our world.
Time to Pray
Father, Jesus was the perfect Son. He watched You and did what You did. He heard Your words and spoke them clearly. It is no wonder that You gave all authority into His hands – You could trust Him to carefully listen and only do what You wanted. I am Your adopted child. Today I want to learn what Your words say – so I can speak Your words to my world. I want to speak Your blessing over my world. I want to speak Your warning over it as well if that is needed. Above I all, I long to be faithful. Faithful to do what I see You want done. Faithful in releasing what I hear so that people around me receive life. I must help people see Jesus – because You have put Your seal of blessing on Jesus. That is my task – help me today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan
We have never seen our own face. We only see our reflection or a picture image of ourselves. The mirror is used to reflect our face back to us. If the mirror is clean, we get a clean image and can see if things need to be cleaned up. If the mirror is stained, the reflection is tainted. In Plan 5 we see how we are called to reflect God’s Glory. When people see me, do they see an accurate reflection of Jesus?
