We could spend hours talking about all the wonderful things Christ purchased for us the day he died. One of those things we see in our text, namely the giving of the Holy Spirit. From the very beginning God created us for community. Sin shattered the relationship we were suppose to have with God and with each other, but God is his mercy is making all things new including his relationship with his people. When God does something he does it perfectly and thoroughly. After giving us the gift of faith he also gives us the indwelling of the Holy Spirit so that we are no longer alone. We have a helper, a comforter, a teacher and a guide living within us.
