Streaks: WorshipНамуна
It's never too late for a fresh start
Have you ever messed up, hurt somebody else, or done something you shouldn’t have? Okay, stupid question! A better question might be, “what have you done in that last 20 minutes that you shouldn’t have done,” right? You see, the problem is that every human being on planet earth has this little three-letter problem called SIN. Its most basic definition is failing to love God or love others. This can be ways we disobey God, ways we hurt other people, or even things we know we should do but choose not to do. We all run into these problems…usually on a daily basis. And this is part of what makes God so incredible – no matter how many times we mess up, God is always ready and willing to offer forgiveness. The entire story of Jesus is all about God creating a path to forgiveness for all of us, but even hundreds of years before Jesus walked the earth the writers of the Psalms were singing about God’s patience and forgiveness. As you read today, reflect on the ways that you have fallen short of God’s standards. But rather than sitting there feeling bad about it, thank God for his incredible unending forgiveness that gives us a fresh start every single time.
About this Plan
The book of Psalms is a collection of songs and poems written to God. It is basically the worship music of ancient Israel. And while music is a powerful method of worshiping God, it is merely one of many ways we can bring Him praise. This seven-day plan will take us through two Psalms per day that reveal a different aspect of God and ways to praise Him for that.
