#MADEFOR: Discovering The Purpose Planted Inside Of YouНамуна
What’s the easiest way to learn about God’s purpose for your life? Get to know the Purpose-Giver. While we may be inspired by others and use our imagination to think about our purpose, the Bible says that the things God has prepared for those who love Him can’t be seen by eyes, heard by ears, or imagined by the heart of man. The easiest way to tune into what God is planning for us is by getting to know Him.
Many of us know the right answer to how one gets to know God: read your Bible, pray, go to church and get to know Him with others. But we don’t necessarily understand why these things take us closer to the heart of God beyond what we learned in Sunday School.
The process of getting to know God and his heart is not about doing the right things. It’s about actively inviting God into your schedule and your thought processes. Taking time to read the Bible probably won’t immediately reveal God’s plan for your life, but taking time to read the Bible will, slowly but surely, introduce you to the principles God lives by and his universal call for humanity—to fill the earth, to manage it, to take the Gospel to all its corners.
Today, ask God to change your perspective on getting to know Him. As you’re reading His word and talking to Him, posture your heart in a way that values what He’s saying over what you’re asking Him for. Let Him share His heart with you.
