Have you ever thought about what it truly means to be like Christ? For some of us, we have to work hard to see others in the way that Christ sees them. Thankfully, God gave us Jesus to be the example. When we read the Gospels, we see example after example of how Christ treated the people around Him. He didn’t show disgust toward the Samaritan woman. He didn’t shy away from valuing the health of a leper over following the rules of the Sabbath. He chose to spend time with unpopular tax collectors, much to the dismay of crowds of his own followers. To follow the example of Christ is to truly put others before ourselves. To think of the needs and futures of others more than our own. What a legacy to follow!

Today, spend some time in prayer, asking God to help you become more like Jesus. Spend time in the Gospels, reading about the life and ministry of Jesus as well. As you do, think about the legacy of Christ, and what you can do in your own life to help pass that legacy down to others around you.
