In this passage, we can see that God gave His people renewed confidence. He gave them a new purpose. In His graciousness, they were recharged with newfound strength and determination, and they felt a revived connection to the Lord. Sometimes, what we need the most is a Holy reboot to get us back on track and ready to move forward. Can you recall a time when you experienced this kind of joy, enthusiasm, and fresh revelation?

Maybe it came from a healing or a restored sense of purpose. Maybe you finally experienced true peace and comfort in a messy situation. Or maybe God showed up in such a mighty way that you had a glimpse of His breathtaking glory in action. Such a reboot can manifest in different ways. It could be a jolt to the system, making you excited about your faith once more. It may make you speechless. It may give you great love for God and compassion for others. Or it may let you see God in a different light, sparking an attitude of gratitude. Regardless, it is good. So often we just scoot through life relying on our own strength. We rest in our wisdom, which is flawed and shortsighted. We mindlessly put one foot in front of the other to get through our day, hoping to avoid any blowups or slip-ups. This isn’t victorious living in Christ. Ask the Lord to infuse your heart and mind with a fresh renewal of faith. Ask boldly and with great expectation. Ask and let His kindness wash over you. Ask for His generosity to fill any empty places. Because every good thing comes from God’s hands.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I'm so grateful for your goodness that blesses me through faith Would you renew my desire for you? Would you rekindle my enthusiasm for following your will and ways? Would you remind me of why I fell in love with you in the first place? In Jesus' name. Amen.
