Day 12: Haleigh Kellam, Marketing + Communications Project Manager at UPPERROOM
Galatians 6; Ephesians 1
Here we are, concluding the glorious book of Galatians and entering into Ephesians. Take notice of how the Word has cut, pierced, aligned, moved, and ministered to your heart.
We have full access to the Mystery revealed — Jesus the Christ.
Read that, and then read it again.
In today’s reading, Paul writes in Ephesians 1:17-18 “…the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding [hearts, imagination] being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints…”
Our hearts, once veiled to the Mystery, have been gifted with the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him — Jesus. Take time after you have read through today’s portion of scripture to contemplate:
How has the Father revealed Himself to me through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son?
What areas of my life is the Lord asking me to be faithful in? (Galatians 6:9)
Ask Him: How do You want to open the eyes of my heart to see You today?
Prayer: Father, thank you for displaying Your affection through Your Son. I thank You for this Word, Your Word, that it renews my mind. I open my heart and allow You to pierce it again, Lord. Jesus, thank you that You are the Mystery revealed. Amen.
