Devotional: Know your worth!

Romans 8:31 isn’t just a sweet saying, it’s a big truth. Our value should never be based on what others think of us or our accomplishments. It’s rooted in the steadfast love of God. He is always with us fighting our battles, knowing us deeply, and loving us through thick and thin. In a world that often scales your worth with grades, likes, followers, or material possessions, this song breaks down every insecurity that could’ve been floating around in your mind by pulling from scripture. Through our challenges, Romans 8:37-39 reminds us of our identity as conquerors. Because of Christ within us, we are victorious just like He is! When you read this scripture over yourself, your mind has no choice but to shatter the chains of self-doubt and to walk in freedom, ready to face these challenges head-on. We are given strength and courage to overcome dark thoughts within our minds and 1 John 4:4 is a great reminder. It tells us that the power of God within us is stronger than anything in the world. Take a deep breath and breathe in the truth you read. You are loved. You are valued. You are enough, just as you are! And, as you fall in love with your unique self, walk in confidence knowing that the God of the universe is right there with you, cheering you on every step of the way!

Prayer: Gracious Father, help me to see myself through your eyes. When I have dark thoughts, give me a sound mind to remind me of your unconditional love. Lord, help me see a new perspective of life and allow me to always feel your presence, even in my brokenness. Teach me to be a warrior, not a worrier. Because you have already won the victory I can walk confidently with every step I take. My trust is in You alone. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
