HOW TO DO SPIRITUAL RESEARCH
Today can be remarkable. The choice is yours.
God invites us to walk with Him. We were created to do life together with Him, hence the name of our series, With.
Today we consider the life of a remarkable figure in the Bible, Enoch, who faithfully walked with God. Enoch represents what humanity could be apart from sin. He is an example for us of how we might follow Jesus.
But you may wonder, how exactly do I walk with God? How does someone remain in God’s presence from one moment to the next?
To answer those questions, we might look to Frank Laubach, a missionary and remarkable Jesus follower we’ve been learning from this series. When Frank grew discontented with his own spirituality, he decided to learn how to invite God into his life from moment to moment. Though a seemingly impossible task given how distracted we can be, Frank put it to the test. He believed that it is possible to keep two things in mind at once, God being one of them. And he spent his life doing just that.
How Frank lived is what we, too, can now carry out: any hour of any day may be made glorious by a single choice - giving God your full attention. Simply being with God can make any moment glorious. And that moment can turn into hours, and the hours can turn into days until suddenly, we’ve spent a lifetime with Him. Immanuel.
Take a look at the video for today and let's make this moment an experiment. Ask, “God, would you be with me?”
We are never alone.
