Courageous Humility Pt. 1Chikamu
The downfall as described by the Psalmist was attributed to viewing God’s miraculous provision lightly, rebellion, forgetting His kindness towards them, moving without waiting for Him, wild desires, jealousy, envy, worship of idols, not entering into the Promise, lack of belief in His promise to take care of them, refusal to obey the Lord, and worship of false gods – to name several but not likely not all.
Both the Old and New Testament {see Galatians 5:19-21} depict a people wrestling with their flesh, and being led by God's Spirit to reflect His character and glory. Who can relate? Perhaps we feel as though we are not on the path God would have us, because up until this point, there were areas we have not had the courage to uncover and address. Be encouraged to pray God reveal to any areas where we may be moving comfortably blinded by our flesh nature, rather than by His Spirit leading. Let’s boldly press in and ask ourselves some questions...
Are there are places in my life where we are unconsciously or consciously being led more by my flesh than God's Spirit?
Do I find myself wrestling with jealousy, envy, or placing activities and "busy" above time with God?
Do I find myself struggling to believe God will take care of me?
Prayer: Lord, if there are places in our lives where we are unconsciously or consciously being led more by our flesh than your Spirit, please show us! You love us and desire wholly holiness, for Your glory and for our well-being and the revelation of Your character to others. Where we may have unknown idols in our lives, anything we give more time and attention to than You, show us. Where jealousy and envy may rule in our thoughts and actions, show us and transform those places to admiration and goodwill towards others. Where belief of Your ability to care for us is depleted, restore and cause belief to overflow. Where we’ve forgotten Your kindness towards us, bring remembrance like a flood into our minds and hearts. Where we have gone on ahead without You, cause us to humbly acknowledge and with humility, courageously walk back to where You last positioned us. God, You are good, Your grace covers us and Your mercy towards us endures forever. Thank you Jesus, Lord and Savior of our lives!

Be strong. Be Alert. Be Courageous. These words are the premise of this 30 day study where you will uncover God's desire for you to call out to Him and trust He will hear. Not only hear, but set you on sure footing, a path He sets before you, for your sake and the sake of those around you. From there you will dig into Scripture around what it means to courageously step into God's presence, how to do so, and what you can expect as a result of going into His presence. Finally, you will be encouraged to step towards the healing Christ offers, both individually, and as the collective Bride of Christ. Each day you will be encouraged to ask questions, seek answers in God and His Word, and identify the step YOU sense the Holy Spirit compelling you to take. Courage accompanies ACTION, and Christ reveals to us where to move next, while the Holy Spirit empowers us to do so!
