WIDSOM AND INTELLIGENCE

"Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding; for his proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and his gain than fine gold" (Proverbs 3:13-14).

Since we have seen the meaning of the word "blessed" many times before, I want to explain it to you in a super ultra mega brief way: it means to be happy. In the same context, the biblical text is telling us that if at any moment in our limited earthly life we find wisdom, or if we obtain intelligence in this mortal being, it is a reason to be happy. But how can I find wisdom and obtain intelligence? The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 1:7). Clear, precise, and concise. If you don't seek God, don't even bother (you won't have wisdom).

It is necessary to understand that these two virtues(wisdom and intelligence)are completely different, although they may seem like twins. To know what wisdom is, I agree with something my Hebrew teacher (Miguel Gutiérrez) once said: "wisdom is the art of living. It is knowing how to live." Intelligence is that knowledge I acquire by reading a book, experiencing something, etc. The most interesting thing is that if I am intelligent but do not have wisdom, I can be an arrogant person who thinks they are better than everyone else. But if I combine that virtue with the wisdom that God grants us, I can be someone who helps others better understand the subjects that make up our life. Balance is necessary.

Ultimately, finding wisdom means following and accepting Christ as our Savior and Redeemer, while obtaining intelligence means living according to His Word. Based on this, are we willing to seek Him every day? If that is your desire, I challenge you to post the following on your social media:"I have decided to seek Christ every day and live according to His Word."

Do not stop seeking WISDOM and INTELLIGENCE by focusing on things that are not worth it; fix your eyes on Christ, the source of all wisdom.

Today, I invite you to post on your social media: The wisdom and intelligence I obtain come from God, therefore, I will use them to glorify His name and help others come to know Him.
