Fearless: A Six-Week Journey

WEEK 2: LORD, ARE YOU IN THE STORM? THE WATER OF HIS WORD Read Genesis 45:4-8 and Exodus 4:10-12. What does Joseph tell his brothers? What do you learn as you listen to God’s conversation with Moses? What do you need to tell yourself? WALK ON TRUTH What are your life circumstances right now? How has God brought you to this point? What is going on in your life that you don’t understand? Have you entrusted everything to Him? Will you lay all of your life before the Lord and give everything to Him? Don’t rely on your own perspective. Don’t rely on your own insight but believe that God works all things according to the counsel of His will (Ephesians 1:11)—that He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). God can use anything and everything. He does use everything for good, even our sin. Thankfully the outcome of our lives is not dependent upon us. What a grim future that would be! God is in control, and He is working everything together for good, even when it feels bad. Turn to the Lord in prayer and ask Him for His help to see things from His perspective. Ask Him for the faith to trust Him and draw near to Him even when He is wounding you. FOCUS THE EYES OF YOUR HEART Quietly recite today’s focus verse to yourself. Hide it in your heart, meditate on it, and make it your prayer throughout the day. Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no God beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.
