How to maintain a solid marriageChikamu
Life in the Spirit
Life in the Spirit is not about going to church on Sunday; it has to do with how you live, what decisions you make, and how you are doing things every day of your life.
Married life provides the opportunity to express the life of the Spirit; what we do reflects our faith and who we are in the Spirit. Everything must be submitted to the government of Christ in our lives. Otherwise, we cannot go forward as a couple.
To be effective, we must feed our spirits daily; this takes discipline. To achieve this, we will have to change some aspects of our life. We want the best solutions, but we may not be disciplined enough to achieve them. Living together, we can work to express Christ in all we do inside and outside the home. Only in this way will we achieve daily growth in Christ so that our relationship as a couple will flow with His Spirit. Sometimes, we must resolve a specific issue and make hasty decisions. In every relationship, there are problems or difficulties; how we face them determines the outcome.
We know that health produces life, and life is to be enjoyed in the spirit and the body. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; therefore, we must take care of it and maintain it to live many years on earth with a good quality of life. We must be healthy and capable of performing all tasks, thus serving God in all fullness according to our age. Most people don’t need prayer for their sickness; they need education and discipline.
Our health depends on exercise and on what we put on our plate, eating wisely, and maintaining a proper weight according to our height. Our physical and spiritual conditions go hand in hand. I will personally reap the benefits of taking care proper care of my body and spirit, and my partner will also benefit from knowing that I am healthy. Sleep well and resting are an integral part of our health; the rested body works and interacts better than an exhausted body.
Let us reflect
Do I do all activities without hindrance? Do I take care of the new life that has been given to me? As a couple, have we each contributed to the care of our inner self as well as our physical appearance? Or are you unaware that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, which is in you, which you have from God, and that you are not your own?
