Relationships According to the Book of Ruth

DAY 10 OF 17

DAY 10: We Get Hurt and Healed in Relationships.

If you've been in a car accident, you'll know that the first time you get behind the steering wheel after the accident, you experience fear and struggle to drive again.

It's the same in relationships. When we get hurt in a relationship, we tend to shy away from developing a new relationship. This is true for all sorts of relationships. We're only going to get healed if we allow other people into our lives after experiencing hurt.

Ruth allowed her mother-in-law into her life. People surrounded her during the day. She even allowed a relationship between her and Boaz to develop.

Surrounding yourself with people is healthy and crucial in the restoration process. Naomi had Ruth, David had Jonathan, Moses had Aaron, Elijah had Elisha and vice versa. Who are you allowing into your life to help you heal?
