Relationships According to the Book of Ruth

DAY 12 OF 17

DAY 12: Trust The Journey.

Whatever phase of life you are walking, whether married or single, the ultimate goal of life is to know and be in a relationship with God. The journey of discovering relationships may be different for everyone, be it family, romantic or friendship. It's complex but not complicated.

Ruth experienced a season of singleness. She did not despise it, and rather she took hold of the opportunity to work, serve and establish herself.

Then Ruth bowed very low to the ground. She said to Boaz, “I am a foreigner, so I am surprised you even noticed me.”

When we look at the season of singleness, it is not meant to be idle, and It's an active time to work, grow and develop. Ruth was diligent in working, she did not wait for it to come to her, but she sought it out. She served, got into the community and healed from past hurt.

The journey might feel long. You might be in a place where your friends are getting into relationships, married, getting children. Don’t compare. Trust the process, trust and be patient with yourself and others. Enjoy every aspect of the season.
