Love One Another
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:34-35 KJV)
Love one another. Correct through love. Sharpen through love. Strengthen one another through love. Build up one another through love. Instead of putting your foot on the shortcomings of others, choose to display the selfless love of Christ. Love one another.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV declares, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
Handle the shortcomings of your brother or sister with care. Choose to reflect the heart of Christ. Choose to speak life into your brother or sister. Choose to sharpen your brother or sister with the Word of God. Let God lead you and show you how to strengthen the heart of others.
“How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” (Matthew 7:4-5 NIV) Remove the speck in love.
